The East Ridge Library is one of our favorite places to relax with a good book. We utilize the Accelerated Reading System to help our students with their comprehension. Students are given the Star test to see what reading level they need to start on. Students then check out a book from the appropriate reading level and take it with them to read. When they have read the book they may take a reading comprehension test in their classroom or in the library. They then receive a print out telling them how they did on their test. The teacher will then check their printout to see how they did on their test. The teacher will then help the child decide when they need to move to a different reading level.
