The Sweetwater High School Choirs consist of the chorale, the Concert Choir, and the Pop Sensations.The Chorale consists of mostly freshman; the Concert Choir is an auditioned group of mostly upper classman.The Public Relations arm of the choral organization is the “Pop Sensations,” a group of 16 auditioned voices. |

FCA is a service organization that provides meals and toys for needy families at Thanksgiving and Christmas. There have been several projects done in the past some examples are cleaning up for needy people and picking up liter on the highway. |

The Student Council is an organization of students representing the Student Body and is responsible for promoting in high interest and for the general prevailing high quality of school citizenship.The organization, which also serves as Student Body officers, consists of a president, vice–president, secretary-treasurer, and reporter.
Under the guidance of one or more advisors appointed by the principal, the Council cooperates with the faculty and administration in recommending and sponsoring worthwhile activities and projects.One of the Student Council’s principle aims is to develop among students a deeper realization of their part in the conduct of the school and to strengthen their power of self-direct and control. |

Family, Career & Community Leaders Of America - Rebecca Duncan, Jay Neal |
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)-formerly Future Homemakers of America-is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work and societal issues through family and consumer sciences education. This organization has been a part of Sweetwater High School since 1948.
The FCCLA at Sweetwater High School currently has 27 members involved in community service projects, such as Ready, Set, Read in which students pair up with elementary school children to encourage reading skills. Other projects last year included activities with Hoyt House (assisted living home) residents and a blood drive at SHS. |

National Honor Society - Nancy Beach, Jay Neal |
The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since it’s beginning in 1921.
The National Honor Society at Sweetwater High School is in its 39th year with 67 members currently. An induction ceremony for new members is held once a year in November. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and providing service to the community through activities such as Halloween on the Square, TAAS tutoring of middle school students, and community clean-up. |

The SHS Spanish Club consists of a group of students interested in the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. The goals of the Spanish Club are to promote a sense of cultural diversity and awareness, to serve the community through service activities, and to further the education of its members by awarding scholarships.
Throughout the school year, the Spanish Club meets for culturally significant celebrations, such as el Dieciseis de Diciembre and El Cinco de Mayo. The Club also provides a number of community services, including raising money for Goodfellows and decorating the nursing homes at Christmas. The club also provides a scholarship for a qualified senior member. |

National Spanish Honor Society, the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish. The purpose of the society is to recognize high achievement in high school students in the Spanish language and to promote a continuing interest in Hispanic studies. The society also provides the students opportunities to use their abilities to serve the community. |
